HOW TO MEASURE FOR CURTAIN DROP:

Curtains can either be hung to the sill, below the sill or to the floor.
If you wish for them to puddle on the floor please allow for an extra 1″ – 3″ added to the overall length required.

MEASURING THE DROP FROM EYELET HEADING:

The inner edge of the eyelet will be set down 3cm from the top of the curtain. Measure from the top of the pole to where you want the curtains to finish and add 3cm.

MEASURING THE DROP FROM A POLE:

Measuring the drop from a pole – For pencil pleat, double and triple pleat headings, measure from the underside of the ring to where you want the curtain to finish.

MEASURING THE DROP FROM A TRACK:
Measure from end to end  – A

Measure the top of the track to where you would like the curtains to finish.

MEASURING CURTAIN TRACKS:
Measure A + B = Total track width

If you have a center overlap as above then measure the overlap and add the two measurements together.
Always measure the track or pole, not the window.

MEASURING VALANCE:
Board width = A + B +C

Use the board measurements to determine the size of the valance required.  This will be wider than the rail due to the returns.
